Jane Stevensen Founding Director

Jane Stevensen Founding Director 

Jane has over 20 years’ experience advising businesses on sustainability strategy and practice. She is an expert in the creation of global engagement programmes to achieve consensus and drive visionary change. 
 
After her early career in the Oil industry where she was a leader in fragile environment management she has worked with clients in the Natural Resources, Energy, Food, Construction and Finance sectors, creating global engagement programmes and developing sustainability-driven strategies for long term understanding of risk and opportunity. 
 
A former Managing Director of the Climate Disclosure Standards Board she was CDP’s Engagement Director to the TCFD, the global disclosure framework for the understanding of climate risk and opportunity, from the launch of the initiative at COP21 in 2015 to the end of the first year of implementation in 2018. 
 
She has advised the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative and the UK-City of London Green Finance Initiative. She is a columnist and writer, with articles appearing regularly in Financial Director, Responsible Investor, Forbes magazine and Business Green, and is on the list of the top 50 women to follow in climate.

Paul Stuart Smith 

Paul has over 20 years’ experience in business development and management roles in the shipping industry & financial markets.  
 
He served in the Army for four years, then joined Morgan Stanley where he held high-profile roles in government bond, commodities and derivatives trading, risk management and business development in London and New York. 
 
More recently, he spent 8 years at the Baltic Exchange where he set up and ran its regulated business as Executive Director. He has significant experience of financial and climate-related regulation and policy and writes and speaks on ESG and green finance topics. 
 
He is a member of the marine advisory group for the Climate Bonds Initiative

Paul has over 20 years’ experience in business development and management roles in the shipping industry & financial markets.

Louisa Harris 

After 9 years working in UK advisory firms driving business as a force for good, Louisa is shaping a portfolio of roles dedicated to unlocking our collective potential to create positive impact. 
 
Her experience includes strategy design and implementation, non-financial reporting, ESG assurance, culture change, coaching, facilitation, co-creation and leadership. She has worked with HM Government’s Inclusive Economy Partnership, the UK National Advisory Board for Impact Investing, the World Benchmarking Alliance, Future-Fit Business Benchmark’s Development Council and the Marine Foundation’s creative team. 
 
Louisa manages a number of roles championing leadership, systems change and innovation. She is a tutor on the Sustainable Business Management programme for the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership, Advisory Board member for Business Declares a Climate Emergency, Leadership programme designer and facilitator for REAL Sustainability Centre and Head at 6heads, the collective dedicated to championing innovation towards sustainability.
